Mushroom Soup with Almonds | Family Food Tales | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

In today's episode of #FamilyFoodTales, Alyona reveals the secret behind her mother-in-law's beloved 'Mushroom Soup with Almonds'. MUSHROOM SOUP WITH ALMONDS Ingredients 300 grams button mushrooms, roughly sliced 15-20 almonds, blanched and peeled Blanched and slivered almonds for garnish 2 tbsps butter 1 medium onion, chopped Salt to taste White pepper powder to taste 1½ cups milk Toasted sourdough bread slices for serving Method 1. Heat butter in a deep nonstick pan. Add onions and sauté till translucent. 2. Add mushrooms and sauté for 5-6 minutes. 3. Add salt, white pepper powder and mix well. 4. Add almonds and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and allow to cool completely. 5. Transfer in a grinder jar and grind to fine paste. 6. Transfer in the same pan. Add ½ cup water, milk and allow to boil. Cook for 2-3 minutes. 7. Transfer in serving bowls, sprinkle some white pepper powder, garnish with almond slivers and serve hot with toasted sourdough bread slices.
