Whether you are on a VEGAN diet or not, this Vegan Hazelnut spread is something everyone should definitely try. Loads of dry roasted hazelnuts, dates and cocoa powder, this creamy spread is perfect when you crave something sweet. A spoonful or just spread it on everything you want, it tastes fabulous. VEGAN HAZELNUT SPREAD Ingredients 1 cup hazelnuts 6-7 dates 2 tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder Apple slices to serve Method 1. Preheat the oven at 180˚C. Dry roast hazelnut for 12-15 minutes or until they have browned a little. 2. Meanwhile, soak dates for 30 minutes with sufficient water in a bowl (if using soft dates then you may use them directly). 3. Transfer the roasted hazelnuts in a blender jar, blend to a fine powder. Add the soaked dates, cocoa powder and a dash of water. Blend well. 4. Add 2 tbsps water and blend till smooth. 5. Store in an air tight container up to 2 weeks or serve with apple slices or as required.
