Sweet beginnings! ✨ Recipe 1 of 3 from our Shakarkand Special – a creamy, delightful Shakarkand Kheer that makes every bite festive. SHAKARKAND KI KHEER Ingredients 1 large sweet potato (shakarkand), peeled and grated 2 tbsps ghee 4 cups full fat milk A generous pinch of saffron ½ cup sugar ½ tsp green cardamom powder 2 tbsps chopped pistachios + for garnish 2 tbsps chopped almonds + for garnish 2 tbsps chopped cashew nuts + for garnish Method 1. Heat ghee in a deep nonstick pan. Add sweet potato and sauté on medium heat for 5-6 minutes. 2. Add milk, saffron and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes or till the sweet potato is cooked completely. 3. Add sugar, green cardamom powder and mix well. Cook till sugar dissolves. 4. Add pistachios, almonds and cashew nuts and mix well. 5. Transfer in a serving bowl. Sprinkle remaining chopped nuts and serve.
