Bursting with flavours, the Potato Bomb Shot is chaat in a deep-fried potato bowl. POTATO BOMB SHOT Ingredients 6-8 medium potatoes, boiled and halved 1-2 tbsps refined flour Oil for deep frying 1 cup boiled brown chickpeas (kala chana) 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 small cucumber, finely chopped 2 tbsps finely chopped raw mango 1 small tomato, finely chopped ½ lemon 1 tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp roasted cumin powder Black salt to taste ½ tsp chaat masala Green chutney as required Sweetened yogurt as required Date and tamarind chutney as required Masala dal for sprinkling Chana zor garam for sprinkling Masala peanuts for sprinkling Sev for garnish Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnish Method 1. Peel the potatoes and scoop out the centre to make a bowl. Reserve the scooped boiled potato mixture. 2. Arrange the potato bowls on the worktop, sprinkle refined flour to lightly coat them. 3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Gently slide in the potato bowls and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper. 4. Take brown chickpeas in a large bowl, add the reserved potato mixture. Add onion, cucumber, raw mango, tomato, squeeze the juice of lemon, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, black salt and chaat masala and mix well. 5. Arrange the potato bowls on a serving plate, add a portion of the green chutney into each potato bowl. Similarly, add a portion of sweetened yogurt, date and tamarind chutney, add a portion of chickpeas mixture and drizzle sweetened yogurt, date and tamarind chutney again and green chutney. Sprinkle masala dal, chana zor garam, masala peanuts, and garnish with sev, and coriander leaves. Serve immediately.
