Quick and easy pethe ka halwa ghar pe banao is Diwali pe aur festival ko raunak laao. Made with kaddu or pumpkin this recipe is perfect way to get your kiddos to eat veggies. PETHE KA HALWA Ingredients 1 medium ash gourd (petha) 3 cups milk ¾ cup sugar ½ tsp green cardamom powder 2 tbsps roughly chopped cashewnuts ¾ cup grated mawa/khoya 2 tbsps ghee 1 tsp rose water 6-8 fried cashewnuts Method 1. Peel, quarter, remove seeds and grate the ash gourd and keep soaked in water. 2. Heat a non-stick pan, squeeze the grated ash gourd to remove excess water and put into the pan. Add 2 cups milk and cook. 3. Add sugar and mix well. Add green cardamom powder and mix. Add ½ cup milk more and continue to cook till all the milk gets absorbed. 4. Add ½ cup milk more and cook stirring. Add mawa and mix. 5. Add chopped cashewnuts and cook, stirring continuously. 6. Add 2 tbsps ghee and cook till thick. Add rose water and mix. 7. Serve hot garnished with fried cashewnuts.
