A double-decker grilled sandwich with chopped capsicum and cheese is a hot-selling fast food item from Ahmedabad. GHUGRA SANDWICH Ingredients 1 large green capsicum, deseeded and finely chopped 12 white bread slices 1 large onion, finely chopped 2 green chillies, finely chopped 2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns to taste ½ tsp red chilli flakes ½ tsp sandwich masala Butter for applying Green chutney for applying Grated processed cheese for sprinkling Tomato ketchup to serve Method 1. Mix together green capsicum, onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt, crushed black peppercorns, red chilli flakes, and sandwich masala in a large bowl. 2. To make one sandwich, apply butter and green chutney on one side of three bread slices. Place a portion of the stuffing on to two of the bread slices, sprinkle processed cheese over these two slices. Place them one top of the other and cover with the remaining bread slice with the green chutney side facing down. Apply butter on top. 3. Heat an electric griller. Place the sandwich in it and grill for 5-6 minutes or till golden brown and crisp. 4. Diagonally cut the sandwich in half and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
